The rise in popularity of mini sessions is undeniable. I had so many concerns.

What if the weather messed up my scheduled shoot dates?

What if the rain makeup dates got rained out?

Well, THIS year both of those two worries happened. I guess I just used up all my good weather luck last year. October in Michigan is the most popular time for families to want their family photos taken. This year, the rain was not my friend. Both original and rain dates got rained out. It was a MESS! But I have the best clients and we worked it out, but man, there has to be a better system...next year I'll crack that code!

The first year I held family minis, I wasn't sure I'd successfully capture enough images in 30 minutes for every family. Turns out I can get so many good images for my clients in that amount of time...so many that I changed it for 2018 to 20 minutes. My clients had it together and so did their kids!! Plus my location this year was STELLAR (I'll never tell where it is ;) )!
